Blue Monday?

Blue Monday say whaaat? No Blue Monday for me! This was my styling for one round during the clubnight on January 18th. I really like how this look turned out! The hair made it very playful and young. Or something like that. Anyways, I think it just looked very cute and I felt comfortable wearing this. New fav hairstyle too!

Scoliosis insecurity

I wouldn’t normally post this first picture without reshaping some parts of my body. You might be wondering what the heck I would’ve reshaped. Well, I’ve been diagnosed with scoliosis when I just turned 15. Because of the curvature in my upper back (I also still have a small curve in my lower back), my right shoulder blade and some ribs are being pushed out which makes my back and side look really big from certain angles. This is a huge insecurity of mine, one I frequently photoshop because I’m scared of what people will think and also because I don’t like the way it makes me look. Honestly sometimes I feel like I look like Quasimodo. This time I wasn’t able to reshape it because of the straight lines of my closet and rug, but I wanted to post it anyway to tell you about this. I hope that by telling you this little inside story and admitting to this insecurity of mine, I can show you that everybody is dealing with insecurities and it’s okay to have them💕 •

Donkey campaign

Something very different than what you usually see from me, but this was very cool to do. I was actually really sick this day (for 3 weeks in total), but still managed to bend here and there. This campaign is for Donkey, a very original, innovative and environmentally focused brand whose bags are handmade and recyclable. The material is super strong which makes them very durable as well.

The amazing styling was done by Lisa Anne Stuyfzand. She got amazing pieces at Net-a-Porter which made me feel very special. The pics are made by amazing photographer Justine Leenarts. Wara Juana Gutierrez Mamani, the woman behind Donkey, organized the photoshoot. Thanks for this shoot girls!

Dikke vissa

Another clubnight for the books! Dikke Vissa is always fun to work at. Always busy and good vibes! I loved my look wearing the purple bandana. Not something I usually wear but I think it worked really well! Oh and see the cellulite on my butt and legs in the first pic? Just wanted to point that out, most women ‘struggle’ with it and it’s nothing to be ashamed of!

Champagne anyone?

Another new thing! I was having so much fun performing in this huge champagne glass. It was another new thing for me to do and I did have some burns and bruises after, but it was worth it. I like a challenge every once in a while. This was the first round that I was in the glass and I only had to throw around the rose petals to get most of them out. After this round they put some water in and I was literally bathing on stage haha, best job ever! Can’t wait for the next time I get to do this!

Aerial loop – new act!

New act whazzuuup?! We wanted some extra flying moments in the dinnershow in Villa Thalia so Anuschka Bozo, our choreographer, created an amazing aerial loop act for me! I loooove to perform this one! It feels so good. The act is so strong and neat, with a lot of quick spinning involved. Oh I can’t get over it. I want to keep doing this for the rest of my life. Yes please?!

Hooping for Memories & Dreams / Liliane Fonds

This week I’m performing 3 acts in 4 shows/days for Memories & Dreams! Together with Liliane Fonds they organized this concert with a lot of different artists and even a complete orchestra to raise money for this amazing cause. Every kid has the right to be a kid, to learn and to be loved. It has been amazing to be a part of this massive show they created, to see all the people they brought together and to see how many people are loving to see it! Thanks so much for this opportunity, shows like these are the ones that make my job so much fun and satisfying!

30 – 05 – 2008 ⭐️

Today exactly 10 years ago something crazy happened. After a rollercoaster ride I became the WINNER of the first season of HOLLAND’S GOT TALENT! It still feels unreal to be able to say this. I was a 14 year old girl, rhythmic gymnastics Dutch champion, challenging myself to do more with the talent I was given. I didn’t apply for the program to win. I just wanted to show the world what I loved to do. Without my parents I would have never been able to achieve what I have achieved today. Always taking me where ever I needed to go, wether it was training, a show, rehearsals and even a circus summer camp in Montrèal, Canada; at least one of them was always there. A massive thank you for everything! ❤️ Also a big thank you to my sister and brother for their continuing support and letting me claim our parents a lot 🙈 These four people mean the absolute world to me.

I’m beyond grateful that I’m able to say that my passion is still my job. This story is far from over..💖
