Donkey campaign

Something very different than what you usually see from me, but this was very cool to do. I was actually really sick this day (for 3 weeks in total), but still managed to bend here and there. This campaign is for Donkey, a very original, innovative and environmentally focused brand whose bags are handmade and recyclable. The material is super strong which makes them very durable as well.

The amazing styling was done by Lisa Anne Stuyfzand. She got amazing pieces at Net-a-Porter which made me feel very special. The pics are made by amazing photographer Justine Leenarts. Wara Juana Gutierrez Mamani, the woman behind Donkey, organized the photoshoot. Thanks for this shoot girls!

Champagne anyone?

Another new thing! I was having so much fun performing in this huge champagne glass. It was another new thing for me to do and I did have some burns and bruises after, but it was worth it. I like a challenge every once in a while. This was the first round that I was in the glass and I only had to throw around the rose petals to get most of them out. After this round they put some water in and I was literally bathing on stage haha, best job ever! Can’t wait for the next time I get to do this!

Aerial loop – new act!

New act whazzuuup?! We wanted some extra flying moments in the dinnershow in Villa Thalia so Anuschka Bozo, our choreographer, created an amazing aerial loop act for me! I loooove to perform this one! It feels so good. The act is so strong and neat, with a lot of quick spinning involved. Oh I can’t get over it. I want to keep doing this for the rest of my life. Yes please?!

delayed flight

We were 2hrs and 15 minutes prior to our flight departure at the airport and there we found out our flight was delayed by 55 minutes. In the end it was only half an hour but it was enough time to take this pic. I think it’s so funny to corporate flexibly movements and daily activities into normal environments haha.

Meeting family in the Bronx

Couldn’t come to New York without visiting family! The woman is my grandma’s sister and the man is her husband. I never met them in a way that I could actually remember it, the last time we saw each other is was 3 or 4 years old. Now, 20 years later, I went to the Bronx where they have been living for the past 45 years. Three stories high, these sweet 80 year old people live in a small but oh so cute apartment. Honestly it instantly felt like coming home. The warm family love, the Italian food (he is Italian) and the Dutch words between the English sentences my sisters grandma said to her husband; I had the time of my life. She felt like my grandma too, almost as much as my real grandma. I felt a instant connection like the one I have with her sister. They cooked a delicious meal for us which we enjoyed together, had a lot to talk about and FaceTimed with my mom and dad back home. After the food we went into the neighborhood to take some cool shots (unfortunately went the wrong way but still super nice pics) and later they brought us back to the hotel in the center of NY. Thank so much <3
