Marjan park Split

This morning my sister, our friend and me left for our yearly autumn trip! Previously we went to Milan and Valencia and now we are in Split, Croatia! We’ve never been here (or in the country) at all, but after one day we are already so impressed! Everything is beautiful and worth taking a picture of. The weather is really nice still; around 20 to 22 degrees. Sometimes it’s a bit windy but overall we are very lucky and happy! Tomorrow we’re gonna take a boat to some islands and Trogir, another beautiful city right at the see. Today we arrived pretty early, went to the apartment we rented (soooo nice, will tell you later!) and went into the city for some lunch. After that we walked up a s**t load of stairs into the Marjan park. Sounds like I’m complaining now but it actually was pretty nice to get kind of a little work out in (hello booty!) and in the end the view was very much worth it!

Headvillage

Okay that title was obviously a joke. It’s the literal translation for the city I was yesterday, Hoofddorp. I come there quite a lot since it’s only 20 mins away by car, there are nice lunch places and the shops are good as well. My friend Sophie asked to have a coffee so 45 mins later we were having one (and something to eat of course) at Barista. The first pic is not taken there tho. It was at Happy Tosti. I just thought it was a cute spot haha.

Polaroids

I took my sisters polaroid camera with us and I’m so happy I did! So cute to have those pictures straight out of the camera. I framed the best/nicest ones to always remind us of this special and beautiful trip.

The Lawn

Oopsss after coming back from the Gili islands I totally forgot to keep posting the last days! Here we were at beach club The Lawn in Canggu. A little further from our hotel but soooo worth it! This beach club was my fav. The food was amazing, the vibe was super chill and the prices were really good. We took a day bed which had a minimal spend of 1.000.000 rupiahs day, and with all this food plus 2 coffees, a bottle of water and 4 cocktails we justttt reached the million. Thanks The Lawn for giving is an amazing last full day!

Gili Air

During our snorkeling trip we made a stop to have lunch at Gili Air, another amazing island part of the Gili’s. To me Gili Air has a more relaxed vibe; I barely saw any tourists and it was just very calm. We had lunch at a local restaurant and it was AMAAAAZING! Oh how I love Indonesian food! The (as I call them) corn cookies are my favorite but also the oleh oleh (the cream stuff with veggies on the left) was sososo good! I tried having oleh oleh again when we were back in Bali but didn’t find it čÖü But once again; amazing experience!

Gili T

So freaking amazing! After a pretty long, bumpy and wavy trip we arrived at Gili Trawangan. It’s sooo amazing I don’t have words for it. Transfer on the island is only by bike or horse and the place gives me such a relaxed feeling. It’s crazy to be here honestly. I want to stay forever. We arrived pretty late so we checked in to our villa, hopped on our bikes and cruised the island a little bit before going out for dinner. Tomorrow we’re gonna go snorkeling! I can’t waiiiiitt!

Snorkeling

Keep pinching myself; is this real life?? Today we went snorkeling. Saw underwater statues and lots of coral reefs. The most impressive thing ever was seeing big turtles.. I mean.. Just wow. I felt so at peace when I saw them slowly moving through the water, it was just mesmerizing to see. Such amazing animals. It’s crazy how much there is under the water which we can’t see in our normal daily lives. The colorful tropical garden fish were also so pretty and there were so many of them! I will never ever forget this experience! 🐢🐠

It was all yellow

Dinner at The Junction House! Unfortunately we were pretty much the only ones there, but the food was quite nice! And I loved the interior! A really cute mix of old fashioned and traditional, with straw chairs and all! Speaking about straw; did you spot my new bag? I bought it here and I love ittt! Seems like bags like these are ‘in’ nowadays anyways, so perfect timing to buy one here 😊

FINNS

Another day another beach club! Today we went to Finns, a pretty luxurious place with once again great service, food and drinks. I do have to say I really think the music was too loud. Sometimes I spoke to my boyfriend on a normal tone and he couldn’t even hear me. Also it distracts me too much from my book haha. At places like these it’s normal you have to spend a certain amount of rupiahs so you don’t have to pay for the beds. But honestly if you get a lunch and 2 drinks per person, you will easily hit that amount!

NOOK

The food in Indonesia is soooo good, I remember from 2 years ago when I was here with my family. So I couldn’t wait to eat it again! We choose NOOK to have dinner at. He knows me so well since he especially choose this place since they serve Indonesian food AND sushi! And hell yessss it was good! Amazing first day💕
