Meeting family in the Bronx

Couldn’t come to New York without visiting family! The woman is my grandma’s sister and the man is her husband. I never met them in a way that I could actually remember it, the last time we saw each other is was 3 or 4 years old. Now, 20 years later, I went to the Bronx where they have been living for the past 45 years. Three stories high, these sweet 80 year old people live in a small but oh so cute apartment. Honestly it instantly felt like coming home. The warm family love, the Italian food (he is Italian) and the Dutch words between the English sentences my sisters grandma said to her husband; I had the time of my life. She felt like my grandma too, almost as much as my real grandma. I felt a instant connection like the one I have with her sister. They cooked a delicious meal for us which we enjoyed together, had a lot to talk about and FaceTimed with my mom and dad back home. After the food we went into the neighborhood to take some cool shots (unfortunately went the wrong way but still super nice pics) and later they brought us back to the hotel in the center of NY. Thank so much <3

Empty subway

When the subway train is empty, we take advantage of it! Was quite the challenge tho since I was hanging on one leg but the train was moving a lottt. That’s why I’m not sharp in the last picture but hey it’s still cool :))

Mothers Day

I think the pictures say enough 🙂

To every single woman in the world that is a ‘mom’ in any kind of way, I wish you an amazing, happy and blessed mothers day <3

London today

I fell in love with London again! I haven’t been here for two years and I’ve missed it so much. The people here are so nice and I love shopping here! I’m staying in Kensington and oh my it’s such a pretty neighborhood! I’ve been shopping today and just relaxing in the city, eating, wandering through Harrods.. I feel very happy now 🙂

Cold and blurry

Yesterday I met up with my friend Rens after 6 years not seeing each other. We had a lot to catch up on and didn’t stop talking, so much fun! Always good to know you have a friend you don’t need to talk to every day, but will always be there for you. We met in Amstelveen and were going out for sushi a few hours later. We had a lot of time to cover before dinner and I told him I felt like getting a new tattoo which I had been thinking about for a while. And impulsive as we are we drove to Tattoo Palace in Amsterdam and I got a new small tattoo! I’ll show you later when it’s heeled, but I am very happy with it! We parked the car in a crazy expensive parking garage, but it did have an awesome view over Amsterdam! If only I brought my camera :(. So here are two blurry phone pics.

Oh my. How quickly 2016 has passed. Crazy! And I’ve been really lazy when it comes to my blog and I am really sorry about that! One of my New Years resolutions is to update more often and I’m really seriously thinking about starting a vlog channel.. Would you be interested in my vlogs? Let me know and also what you would like to see!

Here are some pics of my NYE with friends! Had the best time 🙂

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU! May 2017 be filled with love, luck and happiness <3

Mothersday

Today is Mothersday in Holland! We celebrated it by going to the Munduk Waterfall and a beautiful Buddhist temple. Late in the afternoon we went to Spice Beach Club again and enjoyed a lovely dinner! Love you mom, you’re the best ever!<3
