Social Nomads influencer workshop

So last week I attended the ‘Create Content like an Influencer’ workshop by Social Nomads. Social Nomads is a company set up by Lynn form @whoisthatblonde, a former model and now influencer who earns her money through social media. It’s not my goal or anything to become an ‘influencer’, although it would be nice since I already really like creating nice pics for my instagram (and blog). I invited Britt with me, a girl I met through a very close facebook group. We never met before, but I really liked her instagram and thought she would like to join me and she did :). The workshop consisted of information and tips on how to grow your engagement by creating a nice feed, good photos and being active. Although I already knew quite a lot and I have my own way of editing my photos, the workshop was very helpfull. We also got the time to take some photos and who ever had the ‘best’ picture and used the tips to take the picture, won a lunch and photo session with Lynn herself. Unfortunately I didn’t win, but she did post my picture in her instagram stories. Thank Lynn (and Mailili) for the nice and educational afternoon!

Purple coziness

Sweater weather is here! Oh well, we thought so. Suddenly it’s between 20 and 26 degrees oops. Lovely Indian Summer! I would always choose sun over cold, but honestly I am quite exited for fall. We burn candles every night so it’s already pretty cosy in our apartment, but when it’s time to snuggle up under a blanket it’s even better.

Cloudy bike ride

Did you know in the Netherlands there are more bikes than there are people? Crazy right!? And I don’t own one myself haha. This cute one with the clouds all over it is from my friend Linda. I saw her the other day and we had lunch at Bagels and Beans in Leiden. I asked her to capture me on her bike since it’s literally years since I’ve been on one haha!

Headvillage

Okay that title was obviously a joke. It’s the literal translation for the city I was yesterday, Hoofddorp. I come there quite a lot since it’s only 20 mins away by car, there are nice lunch places and the shops are good as well. My friend Sophie asked to have a coffee so 45 mins later we were having one (and something to eat of course) at Barista. The first pic is not taken there tho. It was at Happy Tosti. I just thought it was a cute spot haha.

Thankful and acceptance

These two woman mean so much to me. Of course my mom, who has always done everything for me, the one I can (and always do) tell everything to. And Karlijn, one of my best friends, who is always there for me whenever I want to nag about whatever, but is also always there for me whenever I need a shoulder to cry on and will always be honest. Thanks for being in my life.

Here we were enjoying another day at the beach with the three of us. Mom and Karlijn clicked pretty well, I barely spoke a word that day hahaha. Love you.

Oh and by the way: take a closer look to the left picture of the two next to each other. Also I have ‘belly rolls’. I feel like a lot of girls see me as an example of how they would like their body to look. Of course in a way it’s a compliment, but I am far from perfect. I think everyone is beautiful in their own way. Especially girls always see something to improve, also me. It’s more about acceptance. Honestly I’m at my heaviest I’ve ever been right now and even though I would like to loose a little bit of weight and tone up some more, I have accepted the ‘state’ my body is in now and I’m making the best of it! I hope you do too, you are beautiful the way you are 💙<3

Cold and blurry

Yesterday I met up with my friend Rens after 6 years not seeing each other. We had a lot to catch up on and didn’t stop talking, so much fun! Always good to know you have a friend you don’t need to talk to every day, but will always be there for you. We met in Amstelveen and were going out for sushi a few hours later. We had a lot of time to cover before dinner and I told him I felt like getting a new tattoo which I had been thinking about for a while. And impulsive as we are we drove to Tattoo Palace in Amsterdam and I got a new small tattoo! I’ll show you later when it’s heeled, but I am very happy with it! We parked the car in a crazy expensive parking garage, but it did have an awesome view over Amsterdam! If only I brought my camera :(. So here are two blurry phone pics.

Army green & black

Yesterday night I was working at It’s Dyna in Villa Thalia so I woke up pretty late. Later I enjoyed the nice weather. Tomorrow it’s gonna be sunny and warm too, but probably for the last time this year. Summer went by way too quick! I already feel like going on a holiday somewhere warm again. In a few weeks my sister, a friend or her and I will be going on a city trip to Milan! We’ll also visit the Intermilan – Southampton soccer game. Gonna be fun! Never been to Milan before so I’m very excited to see what this city has to offer. Enjoy your weekend!

Greytones

Yes, I am wearing my good old Jeffrey Campbell Lita shoes. They were all over blogs, Instagram and the streets a few years ago. I wore mine so much before, but haven’t touched them for approximately 2 years. I still like them a lot though! They are so comfy and make your legs look very long which I like. But I think that they became a little bit too chunky for the trends nowadays. What do you think?

Black lace

I finally whore this long black lace vest today! I got it when I was in London last march but didnt have a chance to wear it. Also I’m showing you this sexy handmade top which I ordered from Milou Cornax on instagram. I saw the Dutch singer Ayden (from Till It Hurts ft Yellow Claw) wear it so I decided to get one too. It’s made from a nice soft material and it’s not tight so it’s very comfortable to wear. Now let’s enjoy the sun for the rest of the day!
